Special Needs Teacher For Pre-Vocational (AYAC)

Introduction

The National Autism Society of Malaysia is a non-profit, non-governmental welfare organisation that provides services and support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

We are currently seeking suitable candidates to fill the position of Special Needs Teacher at our Autism Youth Activity Centre (AYAC) in Bandar Puteri, Klang.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated educators who are ready to make a meaningful difference. At our AYAC centre, we are committed to helping individuals with special needs develop essential life and pre-vocational skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Scope of Work

  • Plan and deliver structured lessons for students with autism
  • Develop individualized learning plans (IEP)
  • Support students in developing life and vocational skills
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress
  • Engage with parents and caregivers

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct classroom teaching and activities
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning needs
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials
  • Maintain student records and reports
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment

Job Requirements

  • A passion for working with children with autism and other special needs
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapist or related fields
  • Minimum SPM to qualify
  • Experience in teaching or supporting children with autism (preferred but not required)
  • Patience, creativity, and flexibility in your approach to education
